Silver
Sea

Somewhere,
out along the coast of Washington, I ran across this marvelous beach.
Clever man that I am, I photographed it extensively. But by the time
I was ready to paint the place I had forgotten the exact location.
It really doesn't matter, as I do remember what made the time so special:
the sound of the surf, the smell of the salt air, and the cry of the gulls
overhead. Add to that the feel of the sea, the wind in my face, and
the pleasure of walking on damp sand. I feel I have remembered the
most important things.
